Since 1995, four new pieces of legislation have been passed -- SB
1474, SB 45, SB 226 and AB 595. THis legislation will add new powers
to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's authority over
regional transportation issues and funding. Bill Hein, duputy
director of the MTC, and John Hirfen, executive director or RIDES,
will present a discussion describing the legislation, and the MTC's
new role.
