driver after she crashed her bus twice in about a two week period.
Cruz says Muni has fired 65 drivers since he came onboard. But Cruz
told the Board of Supes during a hearing into Muni accidents last March
that it was nearly impossible to fire bad drivers. It was also thought
that implementing the POP system (only 1 driver per train) would be
difficult because this might eliminate some jobs and the union would
object. But POP is now in effect on the E-line and will be implemented
on the N. Is the relationship between the drivers union and Muni
management changing? Or is there a lot of wrong perceptions or
outright misinformation floating around?
