And the diesel pumps run using what? Electricity. I don't know that MUNI has
emergency generators to power those diesel pumps (does anyone know MUNI's
backup power capability?) but I don't see why natural gas would put us at any
greater jeopardy.
My suspician is that in the event of a major earthquake, MUNI service would be
totally disrupted - period.
