Help us find out at Rescue Muni's first-ever Board of Supervisors
C A N D I D A T E S ' F O R U M
this THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, at the Sierra Club, at 6 PM SHARP. (Come
early.)
We will be quizzing NINE candidates on Muni and transit issues and take
your most pointed questions - and then Rescue Muni members will have a
chance to vote on possible endorsements.

WHEN: Thursday, October 1, at 5:45 PM
(Candidates begin speaking at 6 PM SHARP)
WHERE: Sierra Club, 85 Second Street btwn Market/Mission, 3d floor
TRANSIT: Montgomery BART/Muni, Transbay Term, all Mission & Market
lines
LOGISTICS: Each candidate will appear for fifteen minutes. We will ask
some initial questions and then take questions from the audience. The
total candidates' speaking time will be 2 hours and 15 minutes, after
which we will tabulate ballots, vote to endorse (or not) and review
recent RM policies. I will moderate.
DRINKS: We will provide drinks, but we won't be able to provide food.
Bring a sandwich with you if you like.
ENDORSEMENTS: We will distribute ballots to paid Rescue Muni members at
the meeting.
If we meet our bylaw requirements (2/3 majority) to endorse any
candidate, we will
vote to endorse. If not, we won't. You will also have a chance to grade
the candidates on various policy criteria.
GENERAL MEETING: This is also the Rescue Muni fall 1998 General
Membership Meeting. Look in your TRANSFER for RM policies endorsed by
the Steering Committee that require membership approval - including "yes"
recommendations on Propositions E and I.
