As we expected! ATCS seems to have been designed to maximize frequency
in the tunnel - at the expense of efficiency and comfort. But the whole
idea of the "rapid transit" style stations was to accommodate longer
trains that would take large numbers of people - right?
Apparently they really are serious about running shorter trains:
1. Can't run 4 car Bredas in FH or WP, since "the stations are too short"
(i.e. they chose the wrong size car)
2. MMT has shorted out with a three car train (not designed to handle
more than two?)
