I faxed them my view that a RM rep should be on the Mayor's Muni Task Force,
and received a reply that they (FOM's parent org) are represented on it as
well as other "community leaders." "Anything else, you'd have to take it up
with the Mayor himself," she says. We are not community leaders? We are
"anything else"? It's all part of the "down your nose" attitude of "community
leaders" about Muni riders. It's a class issue for them, not a service issue.
To them, Muni service is a handout, and we should be lucky they're even giving
it attention; who are we to expect reliable, etc., service too?
I have sent the Mayor email and fax on RM re on the Task Force--if no actual
Muni riders are on it and they're all of like mind with the insulting Sup.
Brown, a lot of time may be wasted on yet more "improvements" that backfire.
