that they make a campaign promise that they will ride MUNI at least one day
a week to work. Perhaps after they are elected, they could be asked to
sponsor a resolution requiring all supervisors to do the same?

I think there is already a resolution/advisory that requires city employees
shall ride Muni at least once a week. There is no enforcement of the
policy.

Muni. We simply can't afford it, and the negative consequences would be
significant if not staggering.

I totally agree that free Muni service is not necessary and possibly
undesirable. Free Muni doesn't solve any problems or improve service.
It's just a good slogan.

P.S. Muni Metro service on the L has been pretty good this week (Tuesday
through Thursday). The Bredas also seem to whine less loudly now.
