Right. The fight to rescue Muni is not an ideological one, driven by
high-minded beliefs of what systems of ownership are best - it is
ultimately a common-sense one, driven by the need for professionally
delivered, quality service.
If Santa Monica can do it, so can Muni. Also, if Hong Kong's
privately-operated Mass Transit Railway can do it, so can Muni. We just
have to demand service quality and professional management.
