I rode daily from 1981-1987, first from 30th Ave and Taraval St., later from
Forest Hill. I don't remember anything like today's problems. During rush
hours, lots of four car trains, mostly LLKM, KKLL, LLMM -- emphasis on the
busiest line, the L-Taraval. Most N's were NN, or NNJ. If there was a one-
car train (rare) it was almost always a J. Very rarely was there any delay
getting to work, or getting home. (And my wife would tell me -- she used it
too, and fusses mightly if anything goes wrong with the trains.).
