[Rescue Muni] A Modest Proposal:

PROPOSED: A continuous passenger platform (in effect, one 2 mile long
station) run between Embarcadero and Van Ness Stations such that wherever
trains inexplicably stop or break down, passengers can get on or off and go
about their business.
PROPOSED: Muni replace downtown Metro with a series of moving sidewalks as
are found at airports.
Somehow neither proposal is as absurd as the $100,000,000 worth of Metro
improvements we now have which include an ATCS which seems to have been shut
off, or a MMX (Metro tunnel extension @ Embarcadero....) which cannot clear
inbound rush hour delays nor be used to reroute outbound trains such that
they are in a logical order.
