I returned to San Francisco from San Anselmo on a Golden Gate Transit
bus, planning to go shopping at West Portal. The time is 6:00 PM, Sunday.
I got off GGT at Hyde and Market but before entering the station, I saw a
crush-loaded diesal labeled "K-L-M Substitute Service -- West Portal".
So, I headed down stairs. The station says "Muni Metro Closed, use
Surface Transportation"! I asked the station agent who said that there
was a train stuck at Van Ness that they couldn't move so they closed
the subway. And then another guy came in and said there was an accident
that stopped the "F" line from running!
Well, being sick and tired of this, I changed my plans and stayed home.
Now, what are the chances of any of this being covered in tomorrow's
papers? (If it ISN'T covered to my satisfaction, I'm writing them).
Peter, do you know anything about this? "F" is your line!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this weeks's Metro Committee meeting...
