Exactly. We have to do both. Take our business elsewhere where
possible, but demand results from our elected officials where we have no
choice in the matter, or where the service provided by the city can and
should be better.

What's so frustrating about Bay Area transit, after all, is that the
fundamentals should be good. We NEED transit here. We would PREFER to
use it. But Muni, BART, Caltrain, AC, et al. find new and different ways
every day to drive us away.

Other cities/metro areas have competently run systems that are a viable
alternative to the auto. We should too.
