from my viewpoint as a rider, the routing via Embarcadero is
useless...Usually I need to go to downtown, which in my case means 3rd
or 4th Sts or north of Market in the same area...so it is like BART
going to Colma before it goes to the airport...an excess of wasted time,
probably worth transferring to a 30/45 at CalTrain. 3rd/Stockton subway
also would tend to break 3rd St away from Metro and mitigate long route
service problems.
