Dear Mr. Mayor:
I am a Muni operator assigned to the F-Market Streetcar Line. Yesterday I
sent you an E-mail complaining about Muni management's plans to eliminate
five extra runs that were added to F-Line service in September to ease
overcrowding.
Today, for the third morning in a row, there was a Muni Metro failure.
This time it was the switch system in the Muni Metro Turnback. Huge
numbers of harried passengers piled on to F cars at Castro Street,
including mine, and we had to pass people up on the way downtown.
Management says that Muni Metro service is running great! The facts speak
otherwise. We need these extra F-Line streetcars to stay on! Please find
the money to continue their operation!
