Hi, gang!

Toward the end of my shift, I learned that Mayor Brown had held a press
conference today wherein he announced that the five F-Line runs, which
management wanted to eliminate starting April 5, and which amounted to
losing 40% of the service, WOULD NOT BE CUT!

THIS IS GREAT NEWS and a victory for Muni riders, operators, and street
supervisors, who worked together long and hard for increased service on
this important route.

I would like to thank all of the operators and passengers who took up the
call to arms and wrote letters, sent e-mails, and phoned Mayor Brown's
office imploring him to NOT cut the service.

I would also like to thank Rescue Muni, especially Andrew Sullivan, for
getting the word out and getting the Mayor to overturn Muni management's
Draconian and disastrous decision to drastically reduce service on the F
Line.

The press conference is still on for tomorrow morning, March 4, 7:45am to
8:30am at 17th & Castro. We will now call it a VICTORY CELEBRATION!!!

Thanks again for your help!
