Dear friend,
George W. Bush and his administration continue to defy the world and
are stepping up the march to all-out war on Iraq...and then maybe on
other nations.
In the last few days U.S. bombing of Iraq has greatly intensified, as
have protests from the people and governments of the world. We are
heartened by the large student and youth protests that took place in
at least 400 schools in the U.S. yesterday.
Of great concern is the government's "Shock and Awe" strategy to
launch at least three thousand bombs in the first 48 hours of the
official start of the U.S. attack, and the acknowledgment there would
be many civilian casualties. Innocent civilians should not be killed
for Bush's illegal and immoral war.
