Dear friends,

Greenaction and our community environmental justice partners are organizing
far and wide and there are many exciting and important updates and upcoming
actions:

Red Bluff, California: Greenaction and the community group are ready to
respond if and when InEnTec decides to go to court to try to overturn the
great decision of the Tehama County Air Pollution Control District Hearing
Board that voted 3-1 on December 21st in support of our appeal - and
invalidated InEnTec's permits from the agency for a proposed medical waste
plasma arc facility.

You can read the proposed findings submitted by Greenaction and the
community that were adopted by the hearing board:

Join Pit River Indian Tribe members, Greenaction and many other supporters
in a protest and cultural gathering at the corporate offices of Calpine on
Friday, January 27th at 12 noon in San Jose, California to oppose Calpine's
plans to build a giant power plant next to Medicine Lake near Mt. Shasta.
This proposed power plant would destroy an area of great natural beauty, and
desecrate Medicine Lake which is profoundly sacred to the Pit River Indian
Tribe and other Native peoples in Northern California and Oregon.
