The San Francisco Natural History Series presents
Greg Gaar

The Natural History of San Francisco

Every since 1776, people have been changing the land to suit  
themselves here in what was once Yerba Buena.  From his enormous  
collection of historic photographs, archivist and habitat  
restorationist Greg Gaar has chosen photos which help us to better  
understand and appreciate the complex ecology of our City.  Greg's  
collection has served as inspiration to hundreds of folks who weed  
and plant and defend the remaining wildlife and remnant natural areas  
of San Francisco.
