Acterra's* Business Environmental Awards* recognizes businesses and
organizations that have demonstrated exceptional environmental leadership
within the Bay Area. If you know of any businesses that are implementing
proactive environmental programs or policies in our local community, please

*CALL FOR APPLICATIONS*

Applications are now available for the *2007 Business Environmental Awards *
.  Presented by *Acterra: Action for a Sustainable Earth*, the Business
Environmental Awards have honored over 100 organizations for their
innovative programs and outstanding achievements which contribute toward a
sustainable Bay Area.

*ELIGIBILITY*

Any private, public, or non-profit business entity, division or facility
located in Alameda, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo , Santa Clara or Santa
Cruz County is eligible to apply.  Applications are evaluated on the basis
of Leadership, Significant Environmental Benefits, Potential Model for
Business Community, Demonstrated Program Commitment and Collaborative
Efforts.

*CATEGORIES*

Acterra Award for Sustainability, Commute and Transportation, Environmental
Enterprise, Environmental and Sustainability Education, Open Space and
Habitat Preservation/Restoration, Susanne Wilson Award for Pollution
Prevention/Resource Conservation, Sustainable Built Environment
