Join Bob Battalio for in-depth look at the recent history of San  
Francisco’s Ocean Beach.

As a professional civil engineer practiced in coastal processes,  
Battalio has studied and authored several reports on the physical  
processes at Ocean Beach. He has also surfed in the area  
extensively.  His professional curiosity and recreational interests  
have combined to make Ocean Beach one of his life’s passions.   
Battalio has worked with the Surfrider Foundation and Friends of  
Ocean Beach, and by request of the Mayor’s Office, has served on the  
Ocean Beach Task Force and led the Physical Processes Committee  
addressing coastal erosion issues.
